X Errors
If you get an Active X error, follow the following steps to correct the problem. Step #5 & #10 are unique to Vista & Windows 7 due to added security in the operating system.
- In Internet Explorer go to Tools then Internet Options.
- Go to the Security tab.
- At the top of the Security tab click on the green check box labeled "Trusted sites".
- Click the Default level button, then pull the slider bar for the security zone all the way down to low.
- Uncheck "Enable Protected Mode" (Vista & Windows 7 only).
- Near the top click on the Sites button.
- Uncheck "Require server verification"
- In the Box for "Add this website to the zone" type in www.summit-soft.com and click Add.
- Close and OK out of the Internet Option windows. Completely exit Internet Explorer.
- Right click on the Internet Explorer icon and select "Run as Administrator" (Vista & Windows 7 only. Will only need to do this the first time, not every time)
- Connect to the website, and it should install the activex control for eCommerce.
